Description

Join us for a hands-on course designed to bring you up to speed in technologies used in molecular pathology. The course will focus on methylation testing, variant interpretation, and MRD testing by ddPCR. Molecular case studies in topics including infectious disease, genetics, solid tumor and hematopathology will highlight the utility of these assays and skills.

Learning objectives

  1. Describe the principles of methylation testing and MRD testing by ddPCR to detect genomic alterations and their important applications in hematological malignancies and solid tumors.
  2. Use variant interpretation tools and resources to correctly classify molecular results.
  3. Participate in small group case studies on infectious diseases, solid tumors, hematopathology, and genetics to interpret NGS data and identify genomic alterations.

Target audience

Individuals who have basic knowledge of molecular techniques and seek to understand the practical considerations of molecular pathology technologies, including pathologists, geneticists, laboratory directors, trainees, laboratory technologists, computational biologists, and informaticians.
